"What A Sunset!"

"'What a sunset!'  The sky is a glorious glow of low clouds catching the last rays of light, as a rolling breaker crashes into unyielding rocks."

ARTIST COMMENT
If I had to pick a favorite of my sunset paintings, this is it!  It was easy to paint.  Perhaps the colors made that so, perhaps it was the mood.  It is one of peace and joy!  The setting could be any where on the coast of Washington, Oregon or California, as there are rocks strewn offshore, that catch the waves and send foamy spray lofting into the air.  With the angle of the sun on the far left of the scene (out of the picture) I could employ the use of brilliant colors reflected from the clouds onto the surface of the sea.  Here you will find the whole spectrum of the rainbow, yet it is a believable combination, as nature displayed it on that special day.
