Artist comment: "One fine day, early on a sunny morning, Ed and I discovered a place where we could stand on the rocky beach and watch the waves roll in from the side. That alone was a fantastic experience. The morning sun behind us was at just the right angle that we saw a rainbow at the top of the breakers. I could barely wait to get back to my studio and paint that unique circumstance with oil on canvas. Using my precise research material, I sketched the memory, then began with the blues, then dark greens. Finally I tinted the white areas with a soft yellow hue. The 'icing on the cake' was washing in the rainbow over the wave." |

"Rainbow Spindrift" is a limited edition, giclée
print from an original oil painting by Carol Thompson. The edition
includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered
and 100 artist proofs). Release date is April 2012. Image size and substrates
vary.
All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity. Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.
Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray. |
