"Pacific Thunder" by Carol Thompson

Pacific Thunder

"Every seventh wave they say, is a mighty and powerful one, hitting offshore rocks with a sound like thunder."

Artist comment:  "Although this is a small canvas, the awesome power of the ocean is clear. I chose to show the huge splash that can be delivered at times against steadfast rocks just off the coastline. I painted a darkening sky to offset the brilliance of the huge tower of spray created by the action."
