ARTIST COMMENT
As the sun burns off the morning clouds and low fog, the ocean begins to pick up briliant hues of blue and purple and deep green. The translucency in the wave becomes a glowing aqua color. The setting of this oil painting on stretched canvas, is the jetty near Westport, Washington. The rocks, as is my custom, are rendered with a palette knife to convey their rugged sharp nature. Everything else is painted in a smooth technique with bristle brushes.
