"Occasionally the west coast of the Pacific ocean at Washington State, is caressed by an 'easterly wind'."
Artist comment: "This diminutive oil painting began as a demonstration for a public appearance at an Oregon gallery. I am pleased by the composition with the zig-zag foam patterns creating an interesting visual flow. My 'trademark' translucent wave is a secondary point of interest; with the cloud bank in the distance to counterbalance the active sea. I began with a quick composition, sketched with grey. Then painted from top to bottom. The entire foreground is a shade of dark green. I left areas unpainted where I was to put 'floating foam'. I completed the translucent wave, splash, and the blue grey of foam on the surface. Later in my studio, I completed this small 'jewel'."
