"The water and foam patterns on the early morning sea, reflect the 'blue skies' of a perfect day to come."
Artist comment: "The Pacific northwest weather is typically grey with rain; either imminent or upon you. So a sunny blue sky day is indeed to be treasured. In this painting with oil on canvas, I sketched the composition taking care to balance the headlands with the rock formations in the foreground. The translucent wave is not yet in sunlight, so it is also in the blue tones. The wet rocks are bright but not sunlit. The mood is that in mere moments the sun will be high enough to light up the ocean and the beauty of the sea will become spectacular!"
