"The power and majesty of the ocean can be an unforgettable experience, even for seasoned wavewatchers, who can be heard exclaiming 'AWESOME'!"
Artist comment: "I consider myself one of those 'seasoned wavewatchers'. I have been coming over to the coast of Washington State for many years and recently 'took the plunge' and moved here with my husband and 'all our household goods'. My art career has been primarily as a seascape painter, so, naturely, I was in 'seventh-heaven' to find my self living my dream! I have painted many hundreds of scenes depicting the many moods of the sea. Each opportunity is as 'awesome' as the last. Here, I rendered one major rising wave and filled the foeground with the typical rhytmic patterns of floating foam. The grey-blue of the sky is carried down to the surface of the water, where foam creates circles and oblong ovals. Blue-white accents complete the mood."
