"There is a 'storm at sea' and it already is kicking up the surf onto the beach."
Artist comment: "Grey is one of my most favorite colors, I guess that is why I paint so many overcast and stormy scenes. There is also a place for partly cloudy/stormy skies. It is pretty exciting to watch a storm coming up from over the ocean, knowing that soon the rain will come pelting down on the beach and me! In this oil painting on stretched canvas, I have depicted the building clouds, so dark with rain, that will soon let loose their fury. The blue up above still reflects upon the surface of the sea, allowing time to sketch, photograph and memorize the moments for future paintings, before the deluge. The waves build and spill as always, the foam creates huge circles as always, and sea gulls whirl and glide as always. The eternal cycle goes on; only momentarily disrupted by 'a storm at sea'."
