| Artist comment:
"I wanted to capture the look of intense concentration in the eye of this mature gull. The stark whiteness of its form contrasts with the intense blue of the shadowy background. With gouache, I was able to render the subtle softness of the gull's feathers, as well as 'punch up' the details in its legs and facial features. Blue, white, and grey, it turns out, are favorites of mine when combined together." |

"Morning Blues" is a limited edition, giclée
print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. The edition
includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered
and 100 artist proofs). Release date is February 2009. Image size and substrates
vary.
All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity. Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.
Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Morning Blues" ACEO
"Morning Blues" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is February 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints. This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
