"This double giant 'Flowform' was designed
by Tom Casselman of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. It has over 500 square feet
of surface, a 25' span, and is 20' long. The two 150' long coral snake
tails rise and fall on the ocean breezes."
Artist comment: "Sometimes you see something that takes your breath away. This magnificent display was being flown at the kite festival at Long Beach, Washington. I photographed it and later painted in my studio at home. I used stretched canvas and my media was oil. I sketched the kite and other compositional elements and then proceeded with the background. When the sky, water, and beach were done, I painted in the kite, finishing with the small vignette on the bottom right, to balance the composition."
