"Orange Iris" by Carol Thompson

Orange Iris

"A stately trio of orange iris glows in the sunny summer garden."

Artist comment:  "I grew these colorful irises from hearty corms in my Northwest garden.  The watercolor media allowed me to layer color to create an inner luminous glow, while keeping the details clear and realistic.  On Arches 140# watercolor paper, I kept the background impressionistic to offset the fine detail in the flowers and leaves."
