"On the dry plains of eastern Washington sets an old freight truck. Once-upon-a-time it served someone very well, routinely hauling loads for hundreds of miles."

 
Artist comment:  "In my travels around the country, I see a lot of interesting subjects to paint. On one such occasion, on the back road from Ellensburg to Yakima in Washington State, my husband and I saw this weathered vehicle. The long hours of harsh sunlight had patinaed the white paint to a kind of rainbow glow. The green of the grass and the golden sky begged to be painted. The overall mood is one of patient waiting for the sun to go down on this hot summer day."

"Los Angeles To Seattle" is a limited edition, giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson.  The edition includes 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs).  Release date is February 2009.  Image size and substrates vary.  All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and include a certificate of authenticity.   Paper prints are shrink wrapped on foam board.   Canvas prints are coated with a protective spray.

"Los Angeles To Seattle" ACEO

"Los Angeles To Seattle" is an “Art Cards, editions and originals (ACEO)” giclée print from an original gouache painting by Carol Thompson. Image size is 2 1/2” X 3 1/2” (standard size for an ACEO). Release date is February 2009. This substrate is "Epson PremierArt Water Resistant Giclee Canvas", using Epson Ultrachrome K3 archival inks. The canvas has been coated with PremierArt™ print shield, which seals and protects the artwork from moisture, UV light fade, humidity, atmospheric contaminants, abrasion, and fingerprints.  This ACEO is signed by the artist, includes a signed certificate of authenticity, and is packaged in a plastic sleeve for protection.
